Stuck?! Sketches #1 for June

It's that time again! The next sketch is up at Stuck?! sketches:
I flipped the image and set the sketch on a die cut for a bit of a spin. Have you noticed that I am having an affair with shipping tags and twine of late? Me too. I will aim to create a few LOs without on soon ;)

Some important notes for you about Stuck?! this month. The Ning site will no longer be active as there is a fee associated with maintaining the site. Sara will still be providing inspiration and sketches from the blog here. The DT will endeavour to visit the takes and leave comments. So we will all still get to visit! Oh, and by the way, there is a call for the new DT up! If you loves sketches, be sure to check it out!

Thanks so much for stopping in! Have a great night!

Treasures...

Happy Wednesday. Is it a bad thing when I am stalking our mail carrier? I am just waiting on so many fun things (rather impatiently, I might add) and deep down inside I know it could be at least another week until anything arrives. A girl can hope though, can't she?

The layout that I am sharing, took a bit to finish up. I don't know why, but I just could seem to get it done. I think that I was waiting for a better tag for the journaling and that came along with the BG basics.
As you can tell, Alden loves anything to do with water. The panning for gold was secondary. He was really wet when it was all said and done! LOL!

Scrappin' Great Deals has a fabulous sale up this week. Everything is on sale! Swing by and check it out.

Thanks so stopping in! Have a great night!

Create

It's the long weekend! For us Canadians anyway. Hope you are having fun (and that you didn't decide to camp in the downpour for the last 24 hours). We had soccer yesterday, in that downpour. Our little lady was a trooper and came home drenched, happy but tired. So very tired. I managed to get a few pics of the running around in the rain, they will appear shortly in a layout, I am sure.

Onto today's layout. I was playing with a little mist again. My favourite technique of late is spraying into the lid and using a child's sized toothbrush to create droplets on the page. I didn't include the journaling as I haven't quite worked out what I want to say. I do love that I caught some images of the two kids drawing together. They love creating.

The measuring tape strips that can be cut out of some the Cosmo pp is a popular one for me. So much potential and so many uses!

Wander over to Scrappin' Great Deals. Sheila is hosting a Cuttlebug blowout this weekend. There are a few folders that I have my eye on!

Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Stuck?! Sketches #2 for May

Good morning! It's time for the reveal of the second May sketch for Stuck?! sketches. Here's the sketch:
Here's my take on the sketch:
Little man was a little unsure about the trike. Funny enough he had no issues with the helmet! It was fun coming up with this LO. Of course, I love that I had to use 2 pics, I don't often scrap just one pic!

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend!

Love this guy

Hello! Happy Wednesday! Hope you are having a great day. Just a quick post today with a layout to share.

I know, I know. Lots of layouts of the little man of late. But the last kit was all girl and sometimes I am in the mood for different things. I am a lucky scrapper to have both a boy and a girl to scrap. I love this pic and I am sure that I will scrap it several times more! I have been using my Cricut more of late. The arrows and the red heart were all cut out using my machine.

By the way, there's a great sale up at Scrappin' Great Deals! Lots of fun goodies and some more Prima!

Thanks for stopping in!

Challenge layout

Happy Wednesday! I have survived the first half of the week. How are you doing?

I decided to play along with most recent challenge up at the Candy Shoppe Designs blog. Yummy kit is up for grabs from the Magpie Club. The theme is 21 as this is the 21st challenge posted. As you can see it worked out perfectly as the little man is now 21 months old:

I listed 21 of his favourites. He enjoys many things and I am grateful for his zest for life! I will admit that it wears me out from time to time though! I am in a misting phase right now. I cut out the numbers from scraps and misted over them. I tried three times before I got the effect I wanted. I have to go buy some more white cardstock now too!

Don`t forget that SGD will have the next 12 hour sale posted. Head over and take a peek!

Thanks for stopping in and taking a peek! Hope you stop by again soon. Cheers!

A layout and a winner.

Hello! Monday is always a tough day for me, but after a week of holidays, yuck! We had a great time playing outside and eating too many popsicles. Yes, we did finish up a few chores like haircuts and buying shoes, but generally, we were able to just have fun!

Enough chatting, you stopped in to see a layout:
Our little guy, playing with his sunglasses. So much fun! (Sorry, there's a bit of reflection on the 3rd pic). He enjoys just playing with everything. I misted the bottom of the page over some Chit Chat Thickers. I love how it turned out! The supplies are all from Studio Calico's April kit, called Joyland. I have already created 3 layouts and I have loads more ideas. This was the perfect kit for me. The right combo of colours and patterns. I don't know why, it just worked for me!

Thanks for all the sweet comments on my kit layouts. That was hard kit for me just because it is so outside my comfort zone. I wandered onto Random.org and entered the number of comments.

May kit reveal and a RAK

Hello! Happy National Scrapbooking Day! I have the May kit to show you from Scrappin' Great Deals. Now, there's lots of pink in this month's kit, so there's no pics of the little man. It was a fun kit to work with, as it was completely outside of my comfort zone! Nothing like a little challenge to get the creative juices flowing! Here's the kit:
Here are my three layouts for this month:

I made the flowers up myself, from the strips of the Prima pp that I cut off to make the background. A little water to soften the paper up and some folding and twisting.

The next layout I added the cream piece of cardstock for the background.

And finally, our little lady at two months old. Time flies when you're having fun!

Be sure to head over to Lori's blog to check out her designs for this month! Fab distressing and inking! Do leave her some love for all her hard work and wonderful desings!

To celebrate NSD, I thought I would do a little giveaway. You have until midnight tonight to leave a comment to be entered for the RAK.
I have included two Studio Calico stamps, one stamp by Imaginisce, rub-ons by Hambly, Bo-Bunny and Basic Grey and a little chalk pad (unopened) as well as 10 tags in two different sizes. Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you find some time to create today.

Cheers!
