Up the Street teaser

I was invited to design with the Up the Street Scrapbook December kit last week. Ohhh it is NICE! I thought I would sneak a card in to give you a little taste of the kit ;)

I would highly recommend picking up the Spellbinders Poinsettia die set. Perfect for this kit!

I will have lots to share but, it will be a project at a time. I just received the kit and have take the time to dig in! I will be back tomorrow with another card and a layout to share.

It's the start of the Christmas cards :)

Hello! My posts are a little spread out but we're in the middle of the biggest part of the basement reno. Drywall... Bleh. I do have lots to share coming up! The Up the Street Scrapbooking kit for December is lovely. I can't wait to share it with you.

In the meantime, I would love to share a quick card. I made this up yesterday, with the bits left over from completing a couple of assignments. I picked up a new Martha Stewart punch featuring holly leaves. I used it a lot more than I expected. Here's one of the cards I created:

I love the combo of the kraft with red and green! It was the last card I created, and I am not sure why I didn't think of using a kraft base earlier!

Grateful week *Pebbles Inc*

Hello! This week we were to create a project for the Pebbles blog that reflected the theme of being grateful.

My job reminds me daily that I need to be grateful for so many things in my life. I am oh-so-grateful to have my husband. He is a great support and a wonderful friend. And I really need to do more pages about him and more pages about us! I was glad to have this assignment. Of course I had to use my favourite line to scrap one of my favourite people!

The key

Good day! How are things? Well, I couldn't resist. Another challenge that suited me perfectly at CAS-ual Fridays. So I played along! This week's challenge is a tag or a card that includes a tag. Here's my take:

This is just a mini card, measuring 3.5"x3.5". The white background is embossed with keys. A cute new folder I picked up by Craft Concepts.

I also used my new flash bounce from Photojojo. I am pretty happy with how it worked on my first attempt!

Navy Pier

Hello! Back to regular programming: scrapbook pages that is ;) I had fun creating cards but I do really love making pages! A couple of pictures from my trip to Chicago. I saved most of my tickets and I am glad that I did!



It was a great trip. Great company and lots of opportunity to learn how to better use my camera. (My monthly page sans kids -as promised ;)

Two more

My last two cards featuring this butterfly stamp. For these cards, I let the patterned paper do the work. I embossed the butterfly onto the circles of the patterned paper and then cut out the butterfly and circle as one piece.


I like the effect. I just wish I had more of that patterned paper!

Be yourself

Hello! Sorry about the delay posting. Long story short -my laptop crashed and needed to be reformatted. Luckily, we had a back up from only two weeks ago (phew!) and my assignments were all already out (double phew!). The only glitch I ran into trying to post today was resizing this pic:

I am playing along with the CAS-ual Fridays challenge to have an element of the card hang over the outside edge of the front of the card. This challenge site is new to me but so, so fun! Glad I found it!
